It’s incorrect to judge, right? Wrong! We have intellect, conscience, and a heart. For me, that’s evidence that we are supposed to make judgments all day long. We don’t condemn. We don’t form prejudice. We don’t hurt people. We judge to love people! We have intellect, conscience, and heart to apply to ourselves, and to our relationships, for the good of all concerned. We imply love when we say, “Look, what you’re doing is wrong. I want you to stop”. Parents do it for kids. And when they grow up, kids should do it for their parents. We should all do it for each other. To judge creates a boundary, and the last I checked, boundaries are a good thing because they support deeper knowing and intimacy. And by the way, when we say, “Great job”, we have indeed made a judgment. Please judge me. If you don’t, I’ll come to believe you don’t care.
